Making Oral Hygiene Fun!

Nov 7, 2022

How do you get your little ones excited about brushing their teeth and keeping up with good oral hygiene?

We got some helpful tips to make brushing your teeth fun!

  • Use a “Special” Toothbrush

Letting your child pick out their own special toothbrush can make oral hygiene exciting. You can find numerous different colored or character-themed toothbrushes at most major grocery stores or even online. It’s recommended to replace your toothbrush every 3 months. By letting your little one choose a new toothbrush every 3 months, it helps to keep them excited about their oral hygiene and keeps them in a consistent routine.

  • Reward your child after brushing their teeth

Everyone loves getting rewarded after accomplishing a goal or milestone. Print out or design your own calendar and after your child brushes their teeth they receive a sticker. At the end of the month if they have 2 stickers on each day then they can get a bigger reward. This keeps kids motivated to keep up with their oral hygiene.

  • Play Music!

Find a 2 minute song that your little one loves to dance around to and when the song ends they are done brushing their teeth. As long as they maintain the proper brushing technique, they can make it a little dance party!
